Seth Rogen co-wrote the script to 50/50 with his friend while the friend was going through chemotherapy. The movie is based on their personal experiences and is about how a cancer diagnosis changes the lives of the patient and his/her close family and friends. It is listed as a comedy however based on the synopsis, I'm sure it will still be a tear-jerker.
