Since most of us don't want to bug our mothers over something stupid like reading a laundry label, I recommend bookmarking Laundry Guide to Common Care Symbols which I found through a Google search last year. It has a list of the icons and explains what they mean. I use to dry clean almost all my work clothing, but learning the correct way to launder them has really helped to save money.
