In 2007, Kristina Anderson was shot 3 times on the campus of Virginia Tech. Since the attack, Anderson has traveled to speak about campus safety and has worked with a team of programers to create LiveSafe.
Not just for college students, LiveSafe is a free app for both iPhones and Android phones which has multiple safety features.
