Weekly Back to School Deals - August 10

.

Back to school sales already? That's right, it might only be July but office supply stores are beginning their weekly sales. Below are the best sales for August 10, 2014. Remember that these sales are not just for students. Some of these office supplies are needed often around the house or office. Each store has additional sales for the week however I have only posted those deals which I thought were worth purchasing. Check your Sunday fliers for additional sales.

Staples

  • Sharpie Accent highlighters, 5/pack - Free (after rebate)
  • Crayola crayons, 24/pack - $0.50
Thanks to the price matching policy at Staples, you can get a great deal on Texas Instrument calculators. Bring a different store's flier to Staples to get a lower price in the store on TI-30xiis and TI-84plus calculators. You can then still submit for Staples' rebate which will bring the price down even lower. It's the best price I've seen for the TI-84plus if you have a high school or college student that you are shopping for this season.

Staples is offering a 110% price match guarantee:
*If you find a lower price on a new, identical item, just show us the lower price when you buy the item at Staples, we will match the price plus will discount it by 10% of the difference. If you purchase an item from Staples and tell us within 14 days that you found that item at a lower price in our stores or at Staples.com, we will refund the difference. Staples Price Match Policy covers items: sold and shipped directly by Amazon.com; and sold by any retailer who sells products in both retail stores and online under the same brand.

For anyone planning to shop at Staples, I recommend buying a gift card first. Staples will be donating 5% of each gift card purchase to Donor's Choose. You won't pay anything more, but 5% of what you spend will help out students across the nation.

Office DepotOffice Max

While both stores still exist, Office Depot and Office Max now the same company. This year, it seems that they are also sharing their back to school sale prices.
  • 1-subject notebooks - $0.01
  • Office Depot brand mechanical pencils, 12/pack - $0.25
  • Office Max brand mechanical pencils, 24/pack - $0.25
  • Expo dry erase markers, 4/pack - $1

Any deal that states "after rewards" means that you must be enrolled in the store's free reward program. You will have to pay full price for the item however they will send you a reward check which works like a gift certificate towards a future purchase.

Any deal that states "after rebate" means that you must complete a rebate form with by paper or on the internet and submit the information. Rebates can be returned to you as checks, pre-paid credit cards, and even Paypal deposits. Read the rebate offers for more details.
