PetHub Tags as Low as $3.25 (After Shipping)

Today is National Dog Day and PetHub is offering a great discount on QR code dog tags. The basic tag is on sale for $1 with the promotional code NATDOGDAY. With shipping, the cost is $3.25. The basic tag offers a QR code, website address, and toll free phone number. You can also use the promotional code to upgrade to any other tag or collar. NATDOGDAY will take $13.95 off any purchase on PetHub. This promotional code is only valid on August 26, 2014.

You are able to create a free profile for your pet and the web address on the tag leads directly to your page. You can include as much, or as little, information as you choose. Benny's profile includes my name and number along with his vet's information. The website also includes a link for people to send an email with GPS coordinates of where the tag was scanned. This helps you find your missing pet faster. For people that don't have a smart phone or don't understand QR codes, the phone number directs them to an 24/7 operator that has access to all your information.

Benny has an upgraded tag with was personalized with his name and my phone number. I prefer this because if Benny does get out and the person that finds him doesn't understand QR codes, they will still have my number. The QR code gives the added benefit of the profile and GPS location if the person knows how to scan it.

Almost Free PetHub QR Code Dog Tags

Benny and I love his PetHub dog tag. Having a QR code on his collar allows me to provide more information than just his phone number. If Benny ever gets lost (although it will hopefully never happen), the person that finds him can scan the QR code and find my address, his vet's name, allergies, and any other information I choose to share on Benny's profile page.

Benny wears the small aluminum tag. I used a pin to carve his name and phone number in the back just in case the person that finds him doesn't own a smart phone. Right now, you can get up to two free aluminum tags using the promotional code MEGAMATCH. You do need to pay for shipping which is why I titled my post "almost free" but it's still a great deal. The shipping prices change based on your location. For my address, shipping for one tag was $1.95 and two tags was $2.20. For that difference, I will be getting two tags so that I have a spare.

Free QR Dog Tag from PetHub (Must Enter Video Contest)

PetHub is hosting a Summertime Adventures Video Contest. The grand prize is $500 and other prizes. Your video must feature one of Pet Hub's dog tags, but don't worry if you don't already have one. Just click the link on the bottom of the entry page to request your free tag. As long as you enter the contest, the tag is free. If you don't enter the contest, Pet Hub's fine print states they can charge you for the tag.
Please DO NOT apply for a free tag unless you are going to use it for the video contest. If you apply for a tag and do not enter the contest, PetHub reserves the right to send you a bill for the value of the ID tag (up to $14.95 plus S/H). If you enter the video contest...the tag is yours to keep for FREE.

Good luck!

Free QR Tag for Pets from Pet Hub

If you have a pet, you know that a tag on its collar is the first line of defense if your pet goes missing. An identification tag will allow someone to contact you if they find your pet. Pet Hub offers a unique tag because it will come with a unique QR tag. This means that you can keep your information on their website and include more than just a phone number. You can include any information you would like including alternate phone numbers, vet information, and more.

Right now, Pet Hub is hosting a contest "Tails of the Lost and Found" on their site. Just for entering, all participants will receive a free PetHub Basic QR ID tag. The first place prize is worth over $900. Entries must be received by April 05, 2013 at 11:59 pm (PDT).

Free QR Tag Dog Tag from Pet Hub

Are you a fan of PetHub on Facebook? Well they just reached 10,000 fans and they're celebrating by giving out free tags.  Each tag is personalized with a QR code.  You can create a free "bronze" account on the website to upload your pets contact information.  If you want more features, you can upgrade to a silver or gold account.

The form on their Facebook page isn't working correctly, so they have created a second form on their blog. Just head over to PetHub to request your free tag.  Once it arrives, you can create or update your account on PetHub to include your pet's unique code.

If your pet goes missing, someone can scan the tag to find your information.  Don't worry if the person doesn't have a smartphone because the tag also includes an 800-number.
