Review: Smallville: The Complete Tenth Season

It's a bird, it's a plane, it's... Clark Kent? While most people know the story of Superman, few knew the story of Clark Kent. When he crash landed on Earth, Kal-El was discovered by the Kent's who raised him as Clark. In the final season, Clark realizes that he can't hide from his destiny. As the only one that can protect Earth, he finally steps up to the challenge with his trusted friends and family by his side.

In the Smallville: The Complete Tenth Season DVDs fans are given the chance to say goodbye to the characters they spent a decade watching. Just like Clark Kent, I was in high school when Smallville began to air but by the end, I had entered the real world. The DVDs are filled with extras and while I haven't had the chance to watch them all yet, the ones I have watched are really interesting. I love listening to commentaries on DVDs to see what the cast and crew thought about the filming.

Whether you read all the comic books, or only know Superman because he's become a household name, you will find something entertaining in Smallville. Since the show starts before he becomes Superman, you are watching the back story and don't need any knowledge of comic book universes to watch. That being said, if you start with the final season, you will be missing crucial back story.
