Goldstar Offers Comp Tickets to Local Events

Goldstar is a deal site that offers discount tickets to all types of entertainment including concerts, plays, comedy clubs, sporting events, and more. Even when a ticket is advertised as "free" you will have to pay a small service fee but you will still save tons of money over buying the tickets the traditional way.

Right now, Goldstar is hosting a promotion called Comp Train which is tons of deals that only require you to pay the service fee. For example, a $20 comedy show is only $6 after the service fee.

Goldstar will automatically show you local tickets, but if you are planning a trip you can look up shows for other locations. I've also seen historic tours on Goldstar so it's a good place to start for entertainment.

Have You Synced Your AMEX With Social Networks?

I know it sounds funny but I never realized a credit card could actually save me money. Ever since I opened my American Express, I have been racking up some great deals.

Link > Like > Love helps you save when making specific purchases. It requires you to link your American Express card with a Facebook account. If you're worried, check out the American Express website first for their FAQs about the app.

Allowing the app permission to your information, including your friends information, and linking your Card will only be used so that American Express can provide you with an exclusive, customized list of deals within Facebook, and send statement credits to your Card account when you meet offer criteria. It will not be used for anything else. Card linking occurs on a secure American Express site. Your Card information will never be shared with Facebook.

You can also sync your Twitter account with your American Express to find even more exclusive deals. Just re-tweet the #hashtag and you're set. Complete the requirements and they basically pay part of your AMEX bill.

Remember to be safe with any credit card. A free deal today can be costly if you carry a balance and pay a high interest rate. For some great tips, check out my archived post Credit Cards: The Good, The Bad, and The Truth.

$15 Free to Plum District When You Sign-Up for a Free Trial of Netflix

If you're not already a member of Netflix, now is a great time to try it out. Plum District is offering you a $15 credit on Plum District when you sign up for a free trial of Netflix. Once you're logged into Plum District, you'll see the link on the top right corner.

Offer only available in the United States for new, first time Netflix customers and their households. Cannot be combined with any other offers. Purchase or redemption of gift subscriptions is not eligible to earn this offer. Internet access and valid payment method required to redeem offer. You will not be charged a Netflix membership fee during your free month. Netflix will begin to bill your payment method for the Netflix service at the end of your free month unless you cancel prior to the end of that period. Your Netflix membership is a month-to-month subscription that begins at sign-up, and that you can cancel at any time. No refunds or credits for partial months. A computer or other device that streams from Netflix (manufactured and sold separately) and broadband Internet connection are required to watch instantly. Please allow 2-4 weeks after you start your free trial to receive your Plum Dollars to your Plum District account.

Just a warning though, most people never cancel because the service is really good. I know some people that have gotten rid of cable and just watch the shows a day or two later on Netflix or Amazon.

Mamapedia is offering an interesting deal today. For $15, you'll get a three month membership to Flexjobs. Flexjobs is an employment website that pre-screens all job postings to protect you from scams. This makes finding a stay at home job easy because most of the normal job postings are scams.

Find professional jobs that also allow you the flexibility to juggle your family with a three-month membership at FlexJobs. You’ll find thousands of legitimate, hand-screened jobs—including telecommuting, part-time and flextime, and freelance opportunities—quickly, easily, and safely. With over 50 career categories ranging from entry-level to executive, you’re sure to find a suitable position at FlexJobs. You’ll also have full access to expert skill testing, job hunting tips, and special member discounts and savings. Get the job of your dreams, without sacrificing what’s most important!

If you need extra money but don't really have the time to go work, this might be a great deal to look at. Some of the part time jobs from home would allow you to earn money while sitting on the couch at your computer. I have a friend that made money during college by reviewing websites. I'm not positive what was involved but I know she got paid for it.

I will be keeping an eye out for deals you might be interested in, but I wanted to let you know the site exists so you can look yourself as well.
