Black Friday Deals at ING Direct

I've talked about ING Direct before but I always wait until they are running a great promotion to remind you all about this online bank. By cutting their overhead costs of actual stores, ING Direct passes their savings onto the customer. While you can't just walk into the bank, you can feel safe knowing your money is still protected by the FDIC.

Current bankers at ING Direct can get a 1% cash back bonus on any purchase made on Black Friday using your debit card. Interestingly this is higher than the current interest rate so you'll make more money by spending your funds than saving them (crazy, right?).

If you don't already have an account, you can earn $125 when you open a new Orange checking account and make a total of 10 purchases (either signature or PIN-based) using your Electric Orange Card or CheckMate deposits (or any combination of the two) within 45 days.

Make sure you read all the fine print and details regarding these offers. While ING Direct is a great bank and I personally opened my account with a similar offer a few years ago, there are a few steps you need to take to make sure you get the promotional money. It's not as simple as opening the account and then withdrawing the cash. ING Direct was sold to CapitalOne. In February 2013, ING Direct will become CapitalOne360.

Get $76 Or More When You Open an ING Direct Checking Account

I've talked about ING Direct before and I'll say it again. This bank currently offers some of the best deals. By cutting their overhead costs of actual stores, ING Direct passes their savings onto the customer. While you can't just walk into the bank, you can feel safe knowing your money is still protected by the FDIC. These promotions are for new customers only.

To celebrate the fourth of July, ING Direct is offering you financial independence with some great promotions to open a new account.

Checking Account - Get $76 for opening a new account and another $76 if you use direct deposit. That's a possible $152 total.

Refer two friends - When you refer two friends that both open new accounts, you'll get a $76 bonus. Both friends will also get their new customer promotions as well making this a win/win deal.

Kids/Teens Saving - Open up an account for a child and they'll get $17.76. Have a teen around? Teens will get $26.76 when you sign them up for a debit card.

There are also some promotions going on for investing and retirement, but those deals require large deposits to earn the reward. You can check out ING Direct if you are interested in trading.

Make sure you read all the fine print and details regarding these offers. While ING Direct is a great bank and I personally opened my account with a similar offer a few years ago, there are a few steps you need to take to make sure you get the promotional money. It's not as simple as opening the account and then withdrawing the cash.

Get $107 For Opening an ING Direct Account on Black Friday

Remember last week when I reminded you to keep an eye on ING Direct? Well, it turns out I was right. I just got home from my Black Friday shopping and checked out the deals.

ING Direct is offering $107 for opening a new checking account. They are also offering deals for children and teen accounts. This promotion is valid from now until Sunday, November 27, 2011 at 11:59pm (EST).

There are a few rules to get the free money, but nothing difficult.

1. $107 Electric Orange account opening bonus
Open Electric Orange November 25th - 27th and make a total of 5 purchases (either signature or PIN-based) using your Electric Orange Card or Person2Person Payments (or any combination of the two) within 45 days.
Your $107 bonus will be automatically deposited into your account on day 50.
Bonus only available for new Electric Orange checking. Only one bonus will be provided per household.
2. $27 Kids Savings Account opening bonus
Open a Kids Savings Account November 25th - 27th and we'll put a $27 bonus into your new account. Only available when you open a new account with at least one new Customer (either you or the kiddo must be a new Customer to ING DIRECT).
$27 bonus starts earning interest upon account opening, and is available for withdrawal after 30 days.

3. $32 MONEY account opening bonus
Open MONEY November 25th - 27th and make 1 Card transaction (either signature, PIN-based or with PayPassTM) using your MONEY Card within 30 days we'll put a $32 bonus into your new account. (Keep in mind, the teen gets the Card.)
Your $32 bonus will be automatically deposited into your account on day 35.
There's no minimum deposit amount required. 0.25% Variable Annual Percentage Yield effective as of 7/13/2011.

I personally use ING Direct and find the site to be really easy to manage. The best part is that even their free checking accounts earn interest. Yes, it's less than 1% but it's more than other banks. You can also feel safe in banking with ING Direct because they are FDIC insured.

Last year the Black Friday deal was $103 so they actually gave a raise this year.

Keep An Eye on ING Direct

If you're not already a customer of ING Direct, keep an eye out tomorrow. ING Direct is the main sponsor for the 2011 New York Marathon tomorrow (November 6, 2011) and might be increasing their new account bonus.

The bonus, which is often $50, goes up a few times a year. Last year, they offered $103 on Black Friday and I'm sure they will have a promotion running again this year.

I have personally been a customer of ING Direct for two years and I love how easy they're accounts are. There are no fees involved and it actually earns interest. It's only 0.2% for accounts with under $50,000 but that's still better than 0%. While some people might be worried about online banking, ING Direct is FDIC approved so you know your money is safe with them.

Get $50 When You Open an ING Direct Checking Account

ING Direct is one of the few banks left that don't charge tons of fees. To celebrate, they are currently offering a $50 bonus when you sign-up for a new checking account. You don't have to make a minimum deposit but you will have to use your new debit card at least three times in the first 45 days. To see the $50 promotion, you might have to click the logo in the top left corner to see the slide show with current promotions. It's listed as checking.

Besides not having fees, ING Direct also offers interest on their accounts. You won't get rich from the interest but it's something that most banks don't offer on checking accounts anymore.

I personally have been using ING Direct for almost two years and I have never paid a penny in fees. Their interest rates are competitive and they offer a variety of accounts for every customer.

I did read recently about ING Direct being acquired by Capital One so I'm not sure how it will effect the bank. Most people love ING Direct but dislike Capital One so we'll all just have to see how the sale will change things.

Earn $76 When You Open an ING Direct Checking Account

Earlier this week, I told you that ING Direct would be offering a deal for Independence Day. The promotion has been announced and you can earn $76 when you open a new checking account.  To get this deal, you must open your new account by midnight on July 2, 2010.

The deal requires you to make at least seven purchases (swipes) using your debit card within the first 45 days of the account.  You can buy something inexpensive or just use the card for your groceries.  The money will be deposited into your account approximately 50 days after you open the account.

ING Direct is FDIC insured, there is no minimum balance required, and all accounts earn interest.  You get a debit/mastercard to use for your everyday purchases and you can find free ATMs in most states.  You can't write checks from the account but you can send checks using their online payment system, which also means they pay for the stamp.

If you are interested in an ING Direct account, I would be happy to send you a referral email.  When you are referred by a current member, you will get an extra $25 bonus for signing up.  That means that you, as a new member, would earn $101 for opening a new account.  Unfortunately the links are customized in the email so I cannot just post a link here for you to get that bonus.  Just drop me a message at Cori@makingcentsofit.com.

Possible Great Deal Coming From ING Direct

ING Direct is an online bank that is FDIC insured.  While they don't have many physical stores, you can feel comfortable working with them because of that FDIC status.  Last year in November, they offered new accounts a bonus of $121 if you opened an account on Black Friday.

This month, they have a new promotion coming.  While they haven't released full details yet, it will be coming July 1-2, 2010 to celebrate Independence Day.  As soon as I know the actual promotion I will post here if it's something good.
