Following the successful lead of Starbucks, Dunkin' Donuts has begun their new reward program. Join DD Perks today and you'll automatically get one free medium coffee. After that, you will earn 5 points for each dollar spent. Every time you earn 200 points you'll get another free medium coffee. You'll also get a free drink on your birthday.

The only catch is that you must pay with a Dunkin' Donut's giftcard. If you prefer, you can download the free mobile app. It will allow you to load a giftcard onto your phone and use it at any Dunkin' Donut's location. The app also features some pretty cool coupons.

Today is National Donut Day (Free Donuts)

In honor of those brave women who served donuts during WWI, may donut makers annually celebrate the day by giving away free donuts.

Today (June 3, 2011) only, head over to your local Dunkin Donuts and you'll get a free donut with the purchase of any drink. Krispy Kreme is also giving away free donuts, no purchase required.

I recommend checking any other donut store near you because I can only verify participation by nation franchises.

$5 at Dunkin Donuts When You Use American Express

It seems that Dunkin Donuts has teamed up with American Express to offer card holders a new promotion.  For every four purchases you make at Dunkin Donuts using your American Express, you will get a $5 gift card.  You must enroll your American Express card in the Blue Savings Program Dining.

I'm not sure if this promotion alone would get me to open an American Express account, but if you already hold a card I recommend enrolling.

Dunkin Donuts is running a promotion for Mondays in March.  Every Monday in March you can get a free medium hot or iced coffee for free.  This promotion might be regional, but it never hurts to call up your local store and ask.
