Yesterday I told you about the new "star codes" from Starbucks. It seems there are additional codes floating around right now. To redeem the code, just login to Starbucks.com and type in the code. It's that simple.

Do you have a Starbucks Reward membership? It seems they have added a new type of promotion and will be giving away "star codes" to earn bonus stars on your account. Right now, you can enter the code REMOVED to get five free stars. That's almost half way to a free treat.

Starbucks is partnering with Twitter to allow you to send a Starbucks' giftcard via Twitter to your friends. Sync your Starbucks account with Twitter. When you send a tweet that follows the following pattern,

@tweetacoffee to @FriendsAccount [your message]

Starbucks will send your friend a $5 giftcard. They will charge your credit card on file, so please remember that these are not free giftcards.

To promote this new program Starbucks is running a promotion. The first 100,000 customers to use the tweet-a-coffee program with a Visa card will get a promotional $5 Starbucks giftcard for him/herself. This promotion is until November 6, 2013 or when 100,000 customers sign up. That means that when you buy a $5 giftcard for your friend, you'll get another $5 for yourself.

Free Starbucks With Your Own Tumbler

From now until September 30, 2012, Starbucks is running an interesting promotion. Starbucks Runner Reward means that if you are getting everyone their coffee, you'll get yours free. They even created a convenient order form so you remember to ask your co-workers. If you are picking up four drinks for your friends/co-workers, you'll get your drink (fifth one) free.

This deal will really only help people that order tons of drinks, so it won't help everyone.

Free $5 When You Reload Your Starbucks Card with Visa

Anytime you can get a little extra at Starbucks is a good time. Now through August 24, 2012, you can get an extra $5 when you reload at least $20 on your Starbucks card through your phone with a Visa.

If you don't already have the Starbucks app on your phone, it's a great one to download. Instead of searching your wallet each time you make a purchase you can just open the app and scan your phone.

Free Tall Starbucks Refresher on Friday July 13

When I was at Starbucks today, I tasted a great new beverage. Starbucks Refreshers are made from green coffee, which is basically just pre-roasted beans.

All coffee starts as a green bean. Now there's a reason to keep it that way. Traditionally, after coffee is harvested, green coffee beans are roasted to bring out the dark colors and bold flavors coffee is famous for.

But now, Starbucks is using an innovative process to pull the naturally occurring caffeine and other good stuff from 100% green arabica coffee beans before they are roasted. The result is Green Coffee Extract - the natural energy from coffee, but with none of the coffee flavor.

The location I was at today was giving out small samples, but the company wants everyone to try this new beverage. Head over to Starbucks on Friday, July 13, 2012 from 12-3pm and you can get a free tall refresher. It comes in two flavors at the stores: Cool Lime and Very Berry Hibiscus. The Cool Lime tasted like a mojito and the Very Berry Hibiscus reminded me of their Passion Ice Tea. Both favors where yummy, even if I only had a sip worth of each.

Free Sample of Starbucks K-Cups

This is probably the first time I've ever seen a free sample of Starbucks k-cups. Head over to Target's sample page and you can request your free sample. You have to qualify for this sample, but that's basically saying that you own a Keurig and stuff. However, if you didn't own a Keurig why would you be requesting k-cups that you couldn't brew? Enjoy!

Starbucks and Google Offers have teamed up for this great deal. You'll spend only $5 but your get a $13 value. For $5 you'll get a $10 Starbucks giftcard AND a $3 donation to Create Jobs for USA which is a charity that Starbucks works closely with.

The gift card will be a digital card which can either be printed to redeem or transferred to your previously registered card and/or smartphone app.  Having a registered card at Starbucks can really help save you money.  Just registering a card gets you a free drink for your birthday but actually using the card earns you additional perks and freebies.
