Free Redbox Rental Today Only (August 22, 2014)

Today only (August 22, 2014), use the promo code DELETED to get a free movie at any Redbox machine. This code is good once per account.

I'm not sure if it will work or not, but I heard that this code will take the value of a regular DVD off a higher costing rental such as Bluray or games.

Update: Sorry everyone. It seems that this promotional code was accidentally released online. It was only meant for a select customers through a text message. Redbox has removed the code from their system and it will no longer work.

Free Movie Rental from Redbox Today Only

Does Redbox need a reason to release a one day only free rental code? Nope. Today on Facebook, Redbox posted an image with the promo code SUNSHINE to get a free movie, which is valid today only (August 4, 2014). The code is valid once per credit card.

They're captioning the image as "Free Movie Monday" so hopefully this promotion will be continuing for a few weeks, similar to when Redbox machines were first popping up everywhere.

Redbox has teamed with Verizon to create their new streaming movie subscription service. Right now you can get a one month free trial of Redbox Instant by Verizon. Besides the streaming the movies you will also get credits to redeem four DVDs at your local Redbox machine.

We start you off with the only free trial that includes a full month of unlimited streaming movies + 4 DVDs at the box! And if you decide to stay after that, it's only $8 a month.

In honor of Valentine's Day, Redbox is giving away free rentals on Thursday, February 14, 2013. Use the promotional code HEART for a free rental. This code can be used once per credit card and is only valid on Thursday for a one night rental.

Update: I've seen another promotion advertising the code SWEET. I'm not sure if this means you can get two rentals or if one code is wrong.

If you're a fan of Redbox you might want to check out this offer from Snirnoff and Redbox. You can get up to two mail-in-rebates for free Redbox rentals by texting SMIRNOFF to 839863. From what I understand this rebate only works for certain states.

$5 Off a $5 or More Purchase at Redbox With Your American Express Card

I know it sounds funny but I never realized a credit card could actually save me money. Ever since I opened my American Express, I have been racking up some great deals.

One of the current deals is for a $5 credit on your statement when you spend $5 or more at a Redbox machine. That means that you make the rental and Amex will "pay" the bill. $5 worth of free movie rentals is a good deal.

Link > Like > Love helps you save when making specific purchases. It requires you to link your American Express card with a Facebook account. If you're worried, check out the American Express website first for their FAQs about the app.

Allowing the app permission to your information, including your friends information, and linking your Card will only be used so that American Express can provide you with an exclusive, customized list of deals within Facebook, and send statement credits to your Card account when you meet offer criteria. It will not be used for anything else. Card linking occurs on a secure American Express site. Your Card information will never be shared with Facebook.

Upcoming Free Redbox Rental for Facebook Fans

Redbox just announced that fans of the Redbox Facebook page will be able to get a free rental on May 12, 2011. The email didn't state if it would be a generic code or personalized codes, but go make sure you like them so you don't miss out.

The Groupon deal I posted about earlier this week is now live. Head over to Groupon to purchase a Redbox deal. You'll get three rentals for $1.

Another Groupon Deal for Redbox is Coming

Groupon just sent their affiliates an email about an upcoming national deal. Starting at 12:01am (Central) on February 27, 2011 you can purchase a Groupon deal of three Redbox rentals for $1.

Groupon is currently offering a promotion for Redbox. You can get three one-day rentals for $1. That's three movies for the price of one.

There is a new code available for your local Redbox machine. Just use the promo code CHANCEMONOP to get a free rental.  I don't know the expiration date for this code but I recommend trying it.
