The Wall Street Journal just published an article stating that RIM (makers of Blackberry) wants to apologize for the service outage last week by offering over $100 in free apps to users.

There will be select free apps starting on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 and continuing for a four week period. The free apps include games, utilities, and more.

Free WiFi on Alaska Airlines Using Your Smartphone

Alaska Airlines is offering complimentary Gogo WiFi for passengers that want to use their smartphones or iPod Touches during the flight. This promotion will be available through September 2011 and is sponsored by the Alaska Airlines Visa Signature Card.

Free Popcorn All Summer At Regal Theaters

This is a good deal if you are willing to "check-in" at your local movie theater. Yahoo! Movies and Regal Theaters have teamed up to run this promotion. Just head to http://popcorn.yahoo.net from any GPS enabled mobile phone. If you go to the website from a computer, it will give you an error message and direct you to the homepage for more information about the promotion.

Starbucks has released their phone apps for use in almost all of their stores. This is great because you will no longer have to carry a gift card around.
